Warriors tickets lead NBA resale survey

The Golden State Warriors are the biggest draw in the NBA North American basketball competition with their resale tickets being 15 per cent more expensive than their nearest rivals.

In figures released by secondary ticket seller VividSeats, the median price of tickets to see last season’s defeated NBA finalists are $244 (£198/€220), with New York Knicks at $207 and Los Angeles Lakers at $170.

The VividSeats prices are based on home games available during the 2016-17 season.

The cheapest tickets are to see the New Orleans Pelicans, which at just $52 are 78 per cent lower than the prices paid by Warriors fans.

At present the most in-demand NBA game is the Warriors’ trip to Oklahoma City, which marks the return of Kevin Durrant to his former team, with a median price of $509.
