Olivier Ropars takes chief marketing role at StubHub

StubHub has named former eBay executive Olivier Ropars as vice-president and chief marketing officer.

Ropars, who was at eBay for six years, was most recently the online marketplace’s head of global performance marketing where he helped drive significant global growth over a three-year period.

He started at eBay – StubHub’s owner –­ as the senior director of the company’s European mobile shopping business.

As an engineer with expertise in business, Olivier Ropars held various roles as a strategist and growth leader prior to eBay in the technology and retail sector, including McKinsey & Company and Motorola.

Olivier Ropars is a graduate of UTC Compiegne in France and earned an MBA from the Kellogg Graduate School of Management at Northwestern University.
