Ticketek owner TEG hires new data chief

TEG, the Australasian ticketing, live entertainment and data analytics company, has appointed Mazen Kassis as its managing director of data, digital and technology.

Kassis has more than 10 years of experience working in research and analytics capacities in Australia, Asia, Africa and Europe. He previously worked as a marketing analytics director at Dentsu Aegis Network’s Data2Decisions.

In his new senior position with Ticketek owner TEG, Kassis will have management oversight for TEG Analytics, Rewards, Digital and Softix.

TEG chief executive Geoff Jones said the newly created position would help to drive integration and commercial focus across TEG’s businesses in data analytics, market research, loyalty programmes, digital marketing and ticketing technology platforms.

“TEG has exceptional assets and expertise in data, digital and technology, and we are firmly fixed on our strategy for strong growth in this area,” he said.

“TEG has the capabilities to add great value for our clients in offering a broad suite of data-driven solutions from a single, agile source.

“TEG is unique in providing large-scale data science, insights, research and digital marketing, and Mazen has the right mix of skills and energy to bring it all together.”

Kassis said: “TEG is a company unrivalled in Australasia when it comes to the richness and high quality of its data assets.

“The granular level of personalisation and customisation of insights we can deliver is exceptional. Coupled with a very skilled, competent and capable team, this makes it an amazing place to work.

“In my professional life, I get immense satisfaction when I am able to synthesise data and technology to deliver actionable insights and enable evidence-based decision making at all levels of an organisation. That is ultimately what our clients value most and that is our primary objective.”
