Bienvenido, TickX! Ticket firm now in Spain

TickX, the event ticket search engine, has pledged to revolutionise how people buy concert passes in Spain after launching in the market.

TickX.es pulls over 125,000 events from more than 50 ticket sellers into one feed, letting users compare prices for gigs, festivals, sports, theatre, club nights and comedy.

In January, TickX’s Steve Pearce said that the company had gone from strength-to-strength since he and fellow founder Sam Coley rejected three investment offers on the BBC’s Dragons’ Den show, which is equivalent to Spain’s Tu Opertunidad.

Millions of television viewers watched as the duo – whose platform was dubbed ‘the Uber of events’ by ‘dragon’ Peter Jones – chose not to accept the terms put forward by panellists on the hit BBC2 programme on New Year’s Day.

TickX has partnered with the most popular ticket selling platforms in Spain, including Ticketmaster, Ticketea, El Corte Ingles and Atrapalo, in addition to a host of local, niche, independent sellers who offer a unique range of events.

Steve Pearce, chief executive at TickX, said: “We’re really pleased with TickX’s growth since we appeared on BBC’s Dragons’ Den. We have secured funding from incredible investors, expanded our team and introduced new innovations to service our growing customer base.

“Now is the perfect time to launch TickX in a new market and Spain is the ideal location, with a rich variety of musical and cultural events across the country. We’re excited to give customers here full transparency to discover what events are happening, who’s selling tickets and who is the cheapest all in one place for the first time ever.”

Last month, TickX launched in Ireland as it aimed to stamp out ticket touts by providing a simple way to access a range of tickets.  It compares prices on 35 selling platforms and presents the information with the cheapest at the top to ensure transparency to its customers. The Irish site has linked up with ticket providers, including Ticketmaster Ireland, Eventbrite, Tickets.IE, Viagogo and others.
