NBA’s Mavericks call in Favor

NBA basketball franchise the Dallas Mavericks has linked up with on-demand delivery app Favor to launch a programme to provide fans with instant access to tickets and gear.

The partnership allows customers that have downloaded the Favor app to purchase last-minute, discounted tickets to selected games, as well as gear from the The Hangar merchandise stores. The items are then delivered to their door.

“Partnering with Favor gives us one more way to connect to our fans,” said Mavericks owner Mark Cuban. “If a Mavs fan doesn’t have time to search for tickets or a chance to visit the Hangar before a game, Favor can do it for you. It’s like having your own personal assistant. We’re excited to see where this partnership takes us.”

The deal marks the first time a professional sports team has partnered with an on-demand delivery app.

Tickets to the team’s games are available via the Favor app 48 hours prior to tip, and can be priced at nearly 50 per cent off.

“We are constantly seeking ways to offer our customers an on-demand experience unlike any other and our partnership with the Mavs truly delivers on that,” said Favor chief executive and president Jag Bath.

“Combining the Mavs fan experience with our delivery technology and personalised service allows us to offer convenience to Dallas customers in an entirely new way.”
