TicketPlan to unveil API integration

TicketPlan has announced it will be launching a new GDPR-friendly API-based integration solution.

The ticket insurance and protection firm will be unveiling the feature at TheTicketingBusinessForum in Manchester, which kicks off tomorrow (Tuesday).

The API will allow sales data to be transferred in real time, with clients also able to source their pre-agreed pricing directly from the TicketPlan sales hub.

In addition, event planners will have access to a personalised portal in which they can monitor sales and performance trends either graphically or as a data export.

Graham Berg, chief executive of the TicketPlan Group said: “We have been waiting for GDPR to provide regulatory certainty before we chose to launch our new integrated solution.

“Regulation and compliance is at the forefront of everything that we do and the anonymisation of any data that will be transferred means that any GDPR issues effectively fall away.”

TicketPlan will still continue to offer two distinct implementation models – either a fully integrated API based solution or a simple self-billing arrangement, with a sales declaration submitted at month end.

Berg added: “Equally, we recognise the importance of our clients’ data. We do not use customer data other than to administer the TicketPlan facility and to deal with refund applications and claims as and when they arise.

“Anonymised data is perfectly acceptable for those needs. TicketPlan is the accepted benchmark brand for Ticket Insurance and Protection in the UK, Europe and now within North America and we are always aware that many ticketing organisations have entrusted us with a vital part of their overall customer service.”
