Music fans to save with Live Nation, Barclaycard deal

Live Nation, in partnership with Academy Music Group, has linked up with Barclaycard to offer customers savings on live entertainment across 3,500 events each year.

The benefit programme, Barclaycard Entertainment, will see cardholders gain five per cent back on tickets, 10 per cent off exclusive presales to some of the UK’s top festivals, including Download, Isle of Wight and Reading & Leeds, as well as five per cent off food and drink at O2 Academy venues.

“Today’s consumers want to spend on experiences rather than things, whether that’s a day out at one of the UK’s iconic music festivals or an intimate comedy show by an up-and-coming performer,” said Daniel Mathieson, head of experiential marketing and partnerships for Barclaycard.

“With Barclaycard Entertainment we can offer cardholders exclusive benefits to help them get more out of every live event.”

Barclaycard’s partnership with Live Nation and Academy Music Group kicked off last Friday with help from The Muppets, who are featured in the marketing campaign showing customers how to enjoy “more good times for less.”

“We want everybody who attends one of our events to have the best possible experience,” said Denis Desmond, chairman of Live Nation UK and Ireland.

“Whether it’s exclusive access to tickets or perks at a venue, this partnership will benefit live entertainment fans and help create lasting memories.”
