DigiTickets joins Trekksoft portfolio

Tour operator booking firm Trekksoft has acquired attraction and event ticketing platform DigiTickets.

The terms of the deal were not disclosed, though Phocus Wire reported that the founder of UK-based DigiTickets said his staff would remain with the business.

DigiTickets, which was founded in 2008, has sold more than 10 million tickets in 400 venues worldwide since its launch.

The partnership is the second for the Swiss firm following its buyout of Acteavo in 2015, an online booking software.

Trekksoft chief executive Olan O’Sullivan, who came to the company via the Acteavo acquisition, said: “Our group strategy is very much to acquire successful businesses and allow them the room to continue doing what they do well.

“We particularly like working with founders like Richard that are looking to grow the business and benefit from economies of scale rather than purely exit.”
