SecuTix is aiming for growth across Europe after announcing two senior additions to its new UK and Ireland team.
David Hornby joins the ticketing and customer relationship management company as UK and Ireland managing director. Hornby, the former commercial director of Visit London, is tasked with establishing SecuTix – which already has offices in Switzerland, France and Spain – as the leading white-label player in the UK ticketing market
Former Ticketmaster executive Richard Hilton has been appointed to the role of head of customer success for UK and Ireland. Hilton, a former ticketing and hospitality solutions manager at Uefa, the governing body of European football, employed SecuTix’s software to maximise sponsorship opportunities at the Euro 2016 national team tournament in France.
Hilton’s first-hand experience of the software will be called upon to ensure UK partners make best use of the technology to meet their business objectives.
“The UK and Irish markets are primed for feature-rich SaaS (software as a system) native ticketing platforms,” SecuTix chief executive Frédéric Longatte said. “Clients tell us they want to own their customer data so they can personalise marketing and increase levels of fan engagement.
“We can deliver this. David and Richard’s combined expertise in ticketing, event and the sports industry will give us a strong local presence and allow us to be close to our new clients, such as Saracens. Both are valuable additions to the team and I am delighted to have them on board.”
Last month, English Premiership rugby union club Saracens became the first UK partner of SecuTix. Saracens will have access to SecuTix’s comprehensive 360-degree SaaS platform, which manages ticketing across multiple channels as well as CRM and digital marketing.
