App coverage boost for TicketIQ

Ticketing company TicketIQ has increased coverage of the secondary market to between 90 and 95 per cent, according to founder and chief executive Jesse Lawrence.

TicketIQ works with rights-holders and ticketing providers to offer a huge inventory of tickets from the primary and secondary markets via an interactive application that learns the consumer’s preferences by how they swipe on their mobile screen.

“You don’t have to go to three sites to figure out if it’s the best deal,” Lawrence told the Amplify website. “We think we have 90 to 95-per-cent market coverage on the secondary side.

“There is so much content out there that the rights-holders are starting to create. The big question is how do they get it in front of people in an efficient way.”

Speaking about the technology supporting the app, Lawrence added: “If you swipe right on an event, you’ll start to get updates on that event. There’s a data chart and it shows you the trends for that event.

“You can track pricing and we’re about to update those charts so that you can see quantity as well. You can get a snapshot of the market and decide if you want to buy or if you want to wait.”
