Clippers owner backs Seat Bid by selling his own tickets

The owner of the LA Clippers is promoting the NBA basketball team’s Seat Bid ticket scheme by selling two of his own seats for an upcoming game.

Steve Ballmer told the TBS network late-night talk show ‘Conan’ that he will auction off courtside tickets for the game against Atlanta Hawks on February 15.

The ticket marketplace is available through AXS and is powered by its patented Flash Seats technology, which gives fans a secure online portal where they can buy event seats safely and conveniently.

"We think people ought to be able to get the seats they want when they want them," Ballmer told host Conan O’Brien. "When fans bid on or buy seats, we know then that they paid a price they wanted to pay."

AXS, which was this month recognised as one of the fastest-growing companies in the US by Deloitte, said all Seat Bid tickets are premium seat locations, while Flash Seats handles the payment transactions and enables fans to enter events using a secure digital ticket.

The ticketing platform said: “In addition to the convenience, the LA Clippers Seat Bid allows you see what people are asking and use your negotiation skills to get the best deals. And if you’re looking to sell, you can put your tickets up for sale on Flash Seats as well. Whether you’re trying to get better seats to impress your date or want to drive a hard bargain on those courtside seats, the LA Clippers Seat Bid lets you take control of the ticketing experience.”
