Eventbee offers free service in San Francisco

Ticketing software company Eventbee is offering a fee waiver for all events held in its home town of San Francisco as it celebrates 10 years of operations.

The company first launched its online registration platform in the Californian city back in 2007, before introducing its $1-per-ticket flat fee pricing model.

The company – which recorded ticket sales of more than $100m (£80m/€95m) in 2015 – said the support it has received from San Francisco in the ensuing decade means it would like to reward its event operators.

Customers that use the promotion will gain access to a $1 ticketing fee waiver on all their events from January 1 until December 31, 2017. Event managers may hold as many events as they desire, but Eventbee said the events must be held exclusively in San Francisco to be eligible for the promotion.

"We are thrilled to celebrate our 10 years in the industry with a free ticketing service to our hometown of San Francisco," said Bala Musrif, founder and chief executive of Eventbee.
