FareHarbor signs big deal with New York miniature attraction

Major new New York attraction Gulliver’s Gate has selected FareHarbor as its ticketing partner some six months before its planned opening.

The Times Square-based interactive miniature world experience, based on Hamburg’s famous Miniatur-Wunderland, is expected to attract one million visitors per year.

Gulliver’s Gate, due to open in May 2017, will feature more than 300 scale scenes from around the universe, many of them offering interactive guest experiences.

Founded in Hawaii in 2013, FareHarbor is a software provider with more than 2,700 clients that generated $1bn in revenue in 2016.

“Gulliver’s Gate is a truly aspirational and inspirational undertaking, with an experiential element that should be breath-taking for the million or more citizens from around the world who will enjoy it,” said FareHarbor chief executive Lawrence Hester.

“We are pleased and honoured that FareHarbor was selected as the partner to handle ticketing management via our world-class reservation platform, and we look forward to our role in this awe-inspiring event.”

Speaking about the selection of FareHarbor, as well as retail operator Event Network and Magic Memories for souvenir photography, Gulliver’s Gate president and chief executive Eiran Gazit said the company had undertaken an extensive search process.

“We chose to hire these three companies because of their customer-first approach and extensive industry experience,” said Gazit. “They join an already-established team of executives, vendors, engineers and model makers from around the world who are working tirelessly to bring this complex project to life.”
