Future Ticketing backs a winner at Limerick

Irish ticketing software firm Future Ticketing has become the new sponsor of one of Ireland’s biggest racing events.

The Leinster-based company, which is a global provider of cloud ticketing software for events and venues, has partnered with the upcoming Shannon Airport Christmas Racing Festival at Limerick.

The deal will see Future Ticketing take title sponsorship of the www.futureticketing.ie Maiden Hurdle on the opening day of the four-day festival, which begins on Boxing Day.

The festival, which is Ireland’s biggest gathering outside of Dublin during the Christmas season, is expected to attract more than 40,000 spectators and offers around €450,000 (£380,000/$470,000) in prize money.

Liam Holton, chief executive of Future Ticketing, said: “We are delighted to get involved with sponsorship at Limerick Racecourse. This is our first venture into race sponsorship at Future Ticketing. We have a particular passion for horse racing and we already work with a number of the leading commercial racecourses in Ireland, including Punchestown, Galway, Listowel and Naas.”

Future Ticketing is the ticketing software partner of Limerick Racecourse, and provides its technical services to companies selling tickets in more than 60 countries worldwide.

Conor O’ Neill, general manager of Limerick Racecourse, said: “We began working with Future Ticketing as our ticketing software partner last year and they have done a wonderful job here on enhancing our online sales.”
