Glastonbury organisers unveil ticketing plans

Tickets for the 2017 edition of the UK’s Glastonbury music festival will go on sale in October, with coach-and-ticket packages being available before general admissions in order to encourage attendees to leave their cars at home.

Organisers have confirmed that coach-and-ticket packages will go on sale from 6pm on October 6. General admission tickets will go on sale from 9am on October 9.

Anyone interested in buying a ticket needs to register in advance. Registration closes at midday on October 3.

Customers can book up to six tickets by paying a deposit of £50, with the remaining balance due in spring 2017.

The ticket price for Glastonbury 2017 will be £238 plus a £5 booking fee per ticket – an increase of £10 on last year. Children under the age of 12 will be admitted free of charge when accompanied by an adult.

The festival will take place from June 21-25. Last year’s tickets sold out in 30 minutes.
