InTix appoints new chief executive

The International Ticketing Association (InTix) has appointed Maureen Andersen as its new president and chief executive.

Andersen, who currently serves as vice-president of arts and entertainment for InTix member organisation AudienceView, will assume her new role on November 21.

Andersen’s 23-year career began at the Denver Center of Performing Arts, where she oversaw ticketing and sales, before she was appointed to the position of project manager at Spectra Ticketing. She spent the past seven years at AudienceView and also had a brief experience of what the InTix presidency entails when holding the position on an interim basis for six months in 2009 and 2010.

In addition, Andersen has served on the InTix board of directors and executive committee, and chaired other committees including education, body of knowledge and sponsorship.

“I am honoured and energised to take on this new endeavour for an organisation that has given me so much,” Andersen said. “I look forward to the opportunities as well as the challenges. I am excited to work with the InTix board and to engage deeply with the membership of InTix at this exciting time. I am deeply committed to advancing our work and the professionalism of fan and patron engagement through ticketing, marketing, and customer service practices.”
