Austrian ticketing software designer and developer JetTicket Software has been acquired by European ticket retailer Eventim, according to German newsletter T:B NewsTicker.
The company was founded in 2008 and was taken over by Ticketportal in September 2010.
The report said that JetTicket informed its clients of the transaction by saying: “CTS Eventim is the market leader for ticketing solutions in Europe and stands for innovation, stability and trust.
“The company has a wide range of leading ticketing solutions and portals… Today, this company, which has long been a valued cooperation partner of our company, is also the mother of our JetTicket family.”
Eventim has operations in more than 20 European countries and owns the Oeticket.com online ticketing service in Austria.
JetTicket added that nothing would change for its clients following the takeover.
“Our JetTicket product will remain and will benefit significantly from the synergies of the two companies in the medium term, including further development,” JetTicket said.
