Bibliotheca Alexandrina, one of Egypt’s most renowned cultural centres, is to create an online ticketing service.
The Alexandria-based attraction, which is home to one of Egypt’s largest libraries, is to offer tickets online in time for this summer’s Bibliotheca Alexandrina International Summer Festival, which runs from late July until September.
Apart from the festival, Bibliotheca Alexandrina’s Arts Centre offers a series of cultural activities throughout the year.
According to the Ahram Online news website, most cultural attractions in Egypt do not have their own independent online ticketing services, with most tickets sold in person at ticketing booths.
