Manchester music venue to offer lifetime ticket

Band On The Wall, a historic Manchester music venue in the UK, has launched a scheme to sell lifetime tickets in order to fund a major expansion project.

The tickets will cost £5,000 (€5,894/$6,219), providing free access to all shows at the venue, which is undergoing a £2.5m expansion.

Platinum lifetime ticket-holders will also have a permanent, personal dedication etched into the fabric of the building.

A so-called Band Pass will also be available via the official Band On The Wall website, providing privileged access to shows at the venue for one year for £30, five years for £100, 10 years for £180, and a gold full lifetime option for £500.

The venue underwent an overhaul in 2009, but now its owners want to expand its learning space for its work with young people.

Band On The Wall has already raised £2m from Arts Council England and Manchester City Council funding, but an additional £500,000 will help them to “capitalise on this success” of their award-winning national concert programme “by creating an expanded facility with more dedicated space for learning and participation activity”.
