More AFL problems for Ticketek

Ticketek has again come in for criticism from Australian Football League (AFL) fans who have struggled to buy tickets for this weekend’s preliminary final from the competition’s official ticketing partner’s website.

Fans concerns about Ticketek’s service were highlighted last week when the website crashed, frustrating thousands of AFL followers who had to wait over an hour to secure tickets. The AFL instructed Ticketek to return booking and service charges to fans following an outcry.

Now fans are claiming the website is not allowing fans to pay for tickets for this weekend’s game between Western Bulldogs and GWS Giants. In complaints via social media after tickets went up for sale on Monday morning, some said they tried to buy tickets for two hours with no success.

Several newspapers reported that many Bulldogs fans, who no longer trust the Ticketek service, chose to camp out at the club’s stadium ahead of tickets going on sale to make sure of securing their seats at GWS’s Spotless Stadium.
