Morton expands digital test

Scottish Championship football club Greenock Morton is to extend the test allocation for its new ticketing system following an initial small-scale roll-out during a recent league game against Dumbarton.

Morton will make 400 online tickets available for the high-profile Betfred Cup quarter-final tie against Dundee United. In a statement, the club said a scanning facility to validate tickets is to be clearly signposted above each equipped turnstile.

Morton added that it “would appreciate supporters assisting with this trial”.

The club said: “We were sufficiently satisfied with the Dumbarton trial and are now offering the opportunity for more supporters to purchase tickets in advance in order to further evaluate the system before rolling out a full implementation, after which concessions and other reduced price admissions can be purchased in advance.”
