Rangers scheme to help disadvantaged fans

Scottish Premiership football club Rangers is launching a new scheme which allows fans to buy match tickets for the disadvantaged.

Tickets for Good is a joint venture between the club, which is back in the top flight after a four-year absence, and the Rangers Charity Foundation.

The scheme will allow supporters to directly pledge their help to people from local good causes, including veterans and armed forces personnel, gifting them the chance to attend a match at Ibrox.

Through the scheme, the club is making available 2,000 tickets for league fixtures during season 2016/17 which will be available for sale for just £10 each.

Rangers managing director Stewart Robertson said: “This has the potential to make a real difference for thousands of people, whether that be the memorable experience of seeing Rangers in action at Ibrox or perhaps through a new health or education programme that the Foundation is able to deliver in the local community.”
