See Tickets teams up with London 2012 venues

See Tickets has partnered with public sports and leisure provider GLL to provide ticketing services for events at the Copper Box Arena multi-sport venue and the London Aquatics Centre.

Both venues are located on Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park in London and were used to stage events during the English capital’s hosting of the summer Olympic Games in 2012.

The London Aquatics Centre said in a statement that See Tickets would manage ticketing for the “vast majority” of events that take place at the two venues.

See Tickets’ ticketing and event management services will be used to help the Copper Box Arena expand its event programming, and support London Aquatics Centre’s ongoing sporting schedule.

“Four years on from the Games of 2012, the Park is a major destination for events and these two venues are thriving with sell-out crowds enjoying a wide range of sports and entertainments,” Chris Miles, events manager for the two venues, said. “Tickets sold for these events at the Copper Box Arena and London Aquatics Centre will now be managed by See Tickets through our new exciting partnership.

"Across the venues we host national and international sporting events, conferences, gigs, and large scale entertainment events. This autumn we’ve already hosted our resident basketball team the London Lions, international netball with England taking on Jamaica, ITV’s celebration of Team GB’s returning Olympians, and Dizzee Rascal performing ‘Boy In Da Corner’ live to a capacity crowd.”
