Survey finds huge differential in baseball prices

Fans wanting to attend Major League Baseball games face a $500 (€455) difference between the cheapest and most expensive teams to visit.

The MLB Stadium Index, a survey carried out by online discount marketplace Couponbox, ranked all 30 franchises based on the total price of a premium ticket, hot dog and drink.

Baseball fans would pay just $123.56 for their day out at Baltimore Orioles, the cheapest team to watch, while anyone wanting to attend a game at the most expensive, the New York Yankees, would be set back $640.78.

The cheapest premium ticket was actually offered by the Milwaukee Brewers, who were the third cheapest team overall, while the Yankees’ ticket option was actually around $120 more expensive than the next priciest, offered by the Boston Red Sox.
