Ticket Alternative eyes growth in 2017

Ticket Alternative, the Atlanta-based ticketing solutions company, is set for a bumper 2017 following the launch of its second FreshTix platform.

Chief executive Ian Bluett told the Atlanta Business Chronicle that the company expects to increase its workforce over the next 12 months, building its sales and support teams.

TickTechNews reported last week that Ticket Alternative had launched a new FreshTix ‘Daily Admission’ model, which will allow clients to feature events with multiple dates and entry times on a standalone, customised website, alongside its ‘Multi-tenant’ facility.

As well as serving several live music venues and festivals, Ticket Alternative has just signed its first partnership with an MLS soccer team, Minnesota United FC.

Bluett said the company is focused on maintaining high standards of service as it grows, with FreshTix set to hit one million ticket sales annually by 2018.

“I suppose then the biggest challenge would be trying to scale that as we grow,” Bluett told the Atlanta Business Chronicle. “Take our call centre, for example. With seats for 30 operators, we answer the phone on the first ring. People like us because they can reach a live operator immediately. We want to make sure we can scale that as we grow and not have to revert to ‘press 1 for this or for the other’.

“The number of staff we employ will be the biggest change. We moved to a 10,000-square-foot space in the heart of midtown in January so that we could accommodate more employees.”
