TicketNetwork takes control of ScoreBig

Secondary ticketing company TicketNetwork has taken control of US ticket marketplace ScoreBig, which shut down in September due to a liquidity crisis.

ScoreBig worked with clients of major primary ticket sellers such as Ticketmaster and AXS-Veritix and hundreds of independent brokers to sell discounted tickets to fans. ScoreBig's platform uses innovative buying technology that hides the identity of the seller.

In a statement, ScoreBig said that it had come under new management as of last Saturday, even though the news has only just emerged.

“A subsidiary of TicketNetwork has acquired and licensed select assets of the company formerly known as ScoreBig Inc, which went out of business in September,” ScoreBig said.

“Neither TicketNetwork nor its subsidiary have any connection to Scorebig, Inc, the former owner of www.ScoreBig.com, beyond the licence and purchase of some of its assets, and as such have no responsibility for anything that occurred on or related to the website or business prior to November 12, 2016.”

Hundreds of brokers, who said they had not been paid for months by the ScoreBig, reacted to the news in September by cancelling barcodes and tickets sold through the company.
