US major leagues sign up with GameHedge

 

Ticket marketplace GameHedge has penned partnerships with three of the US major leagues.

American football’s NFL, the NHL ice hockey league and the NBA basketball league are the latest properties to sign up with GameHedge, which offers a ‘Good Game Guarantee’ to provide fans with a potential 50-per-cent refund if their team loses by an certain number of points or goals.

GameHedge is already a partner of the other traditional US major league, Major League Baseball (MLB).

“The response we received following our initial launch with MLB tickets was astounding and it proved that GameHedge was the ticket-buying option sports fans truly wanted,” GameHedge founder Warren Friss said.

“With today’s addition of NFL, NHL and NBA, GameHedge will continue to reinforce its position as the best and most rewarding sports ticket buying experience.”

According to GameHedge, the current 2016 average listing price for NFL games on the secondary ticket market is $209 (£161/€187) per ticket, with a family of four spending $836 for one game. With GameHedge, $418 could be refunded if the home team loses by the stated margin.

If the home team is defeated by 17 points or more, fans who purchased their tickets through GameHedge will get 50 per cent of their ticket price back. Historical statistics show that one in every 11 NFL home games will qualify for the Good Game Guarantee.

GameHedge will also offer the Good Game Guarantee for NHL and NBA tickets, with a margin of four goals and 20 points respectively. The Good Game Guarantee is included as standard at no additional cost.
