The Majestic Theatre in Chillicothe, Ohio, in the US, has joined forces with Easy Peasy Ticketing to launch a new online ticket service.
Customers can visit the Majestic website to purchase tickets to select their seats and purchase tickets to upcoming shows, with the tickets then sent out to users via email. Majestic said that patrons will still have the option to purchase tickets at the door on the night of the show.
Nate Nale, founder and chief executive of Easy Peasy, told the Chillicothe Gazette newspaper that the company will receive a flat rate of just $1 (€0.90) for each ticket that is sold, with customers set to benefit from not having to pay expensive surcharges often found through online ticket services.
“It’s our goal to just bring the cost of ticketing, in general, down,” Nale said. “I, for one, I love going to concerts, but when I get that $15 surcharge, it really frustrates me, especially with my background. I know it doesn’t cost a lot to produce a ticket.”
