Online ticket exchange set up for Ryder Cup

The PGA of America golf organisation has teamed up with PrimeSport, a provider of sporting experiences at leading events around the world, to launch an online ticketing exchange for this year’s Ryder Cup.

The platform will enable fans to buy tickets through an established platform, whilst also providing supporters who are unable to attend the event with an outlet to sell their own tickets.

This year’s Ryder Cup takes place at Hazeltine National Golf Club in Chaska, Minnesota from September 30 to October 2.

“We are thrilled to work with the PGA of America to ensure that fans of the 2016 Ryder Cup now have a place to securely buy and sell their tickets with one another,” Andrew Zinberg, chief commercial officer at PrimeSport, said.

“Bringing PrimeSport’s deep history of operating official ticket exchanges for the world’s biggest sporting events was a natural fit for the golf landscape. For the first time, a ticket exchange is being offered for US golf events, allowing fans access to tickets for high-demand tournaments such as the Ryder Cup.”

PrimeSport provides tickets, travel, hospitality and VIP experiences for sports fans. Its extensive sports portfolio includes partnerships with 20 NFL American football teams and the NHL North American ice hockey league.
