The Ticket Factory adds to UK exhibition portfolio

The Ticket Factory is now the preferred ticketing partner for more than half of the UK’s top consumer shows after winning contracts with two of the country’s largest exhibition organisers.

The ticket agency has secured the rights to all 18 shows operated by Upper Street Events, including The Cycle Show. The consumer events company previously partnered with Interchange.

Multiplay, the e-gaming specialist that attracted more than 100,000 visitors to its events in 2015, has switched to The Ticket Factory from Eventbrite.

Paul Byrom, managing director of Upper Street Events, said: “The Ticket Factory has showcased above and beyond that it is one of the industry leaders in providing fully event-branded, responsive websites.

“They’ve worked with us to create bespoke ticketing journeys to make booking tickets for our events simple and quick. They have given us bespoke technology that integrates seamlessly with our event brands and enables access to marketing channels which will help us find new audiences.”

The Ticket Factory has also recently secured contracts with six other major shows in recent weeks, including The Photography Show 2016 and the Brick Live 2016 lego exhibition.

Stuart Cain, managing director of The Ticket Factory, said: “These nationwide and international account wins are born out of our ability to combine e-commerce and digital marketing competencies with the experience we’ve gained in exhibitions as part of the NEC Group.

“Many of these new wins have international aspirations which allows us to implement our multi-currency, multi-lingual solution. It also smashes the myth that we can’t compete with some of the sexier ‘tech’ companies such as Eventbrite.”
