Tessitura Network teams up with Goldstar

Goldstar has been unveiled as the preferred ticketing provider of the Tessitura Network, which brings together more than 500 arts, cultural and entertainment organisers worldwide by offering technological innovations.

Under the deal, Tessitura software will be integrated with Goldstar’s ticketing system, allowing organisations that are part of the network to tap into the Goldstar channel to sell their inventory and boost audience numbers.

About 200 of Tessitura’s network users are already partners with Goldstar, which works with 4,000 venue partners across the US.

The Goldstar channel has more than seven million members who are signed up to look for local live entertainment, including theatre and comedy shows, concerts, sporting events and more.

Tessitura, which was established 15 years ago, has licence-holders in countries such as Australia, Canada, Denmark, Ireland, New Zealand, Sweden and the UK, as well as the US.

“The No.1 reason people don’t attend an event is awareness,” Goldstar chief executive Jim McCarthy said.

“Too often people simply don’t know what’s happening right where they live. We’re the first place members come to find something fun to do. With this integration, we make it that much easier to connect venues with the audiences – and the added revenue – they’re seeking.”

According to a March 2016 survey, nearly 80 per cent of Goldstar customers said that they found out about the event for the first time when they discovered it on the Goldstar site or application.

Jack Rubin, president of the Tessitura Network, said: “We are dedicated to providing our users with the essential tools that help them manage their businesses and drive revenue across the organisation through our built in ticketing, fundraising, membership, and marketing capabilities.

“Our users will now have the ability to offer real-time yield management solutions to drive revenue further through the integration with Goldstar.”
