Coldplay fans in India to earn tickets through good deeds

Coldplay are to give away free tickets to their forthcoming concert in India to fans who earn their entrance through charitable works.

The British rock band will perform in Mumbai as part of the Global Citizen festival that takes place in November.

Fans can gain entry to the gig by “taking actions in support of education, equality, and sanitation campaigns” according to a statement released by Global Citizen, the international social action platform, and Vijay Nair, who heads the event company Only Much Louder (OML). Coldplay singer Chris Martin is a patron of Global Citizen.

“Starting Monday, tickets for the Global Citizen Festival in India can be earned through the new platform by signing up to become a Global Citizen and completing the festival’s action campaigns at GlobalCitizen.in,” said a statement released by organisers.
