USC reprint season tickets after postal error

The University of South Carolina has been forced to cancel hundreds of college football season tickets that were sent to incorrect addresses.

According to the FitsNews website, a spokesman for the school’s athletics department said a database glitch led to around 200 tickets being sent to the wrong properties. When the error was discovered, tickets were cancelled, with new ones reprinted and sent to the correct addresses.

In a letter that accompanied the reprinted tickets, the university said “any previous prints have been voided and will not be valid for entrance”.

The Gamecocks have around 15,000 season-ticket holders and drew 78,822 fans on average per home game in 2015.
