Touts deter fans from visiting Barcelona’s open training

Ticket touts reportedly caused FC Barcelona stars to perform in front of far-from-packed stands during an open training session.

Supporters were invited to watch Luis Enrique’s team as they were put through their paces at the Mini Estadi on Tuesday. Some 11,000 tickets, which were free for members and €5 for others, sold out days before the event.

However, the Marca newspaper reported that many of these tickets were snapped up by touts who attempted to sell them for €10 outside the arena.

A lack of interest in buying them at inflated prices led to huge areas of empty seats as Barcelona stars emerged onto the pitch.

Those that did attend, however, were witness to treats such as this wondergoal from Lionel Messi.
