JOBS: Project Manager, Best Union

Responsible to:  Technical Director, Best Union UK and Chief of Operations, Best Union USA
Salary Level:  Subject to skills, experience and behaviours (refer below)
Hours of Work:  37.5 hours per week (Additional hours may be required)

Summary:  Best Union UK Ltd. (BU UK), part of Best Union Company S.p.A, sells, develops implements, supports and maintains ticketing systems under the trading names of enta Ticketing Solutions (“enta”) and OmniTicket Network (“Omni”).  Our systems are widely used in a diversity of sectors to include stadia, arenas, theatres, theme parks, museums, galleries and visitor attractions in the UK, EU, Middle East, Australia and USA.

Responsibilities (including but not limited to):

  • Develop and implement full life cycle project plans including project scope, analysis, resource management, budgets, milestones and deliverables for complex information technology solutions on behalf of BU
  • Oversee all aspects of project management including documenting technical requirements, performing risk assessments, setting deadlines, assigning responsibilities, monitoring, summarising and communicating project progress
  • Interface with end-user customers to understand and interpret business requirements to allow the application of BU technology for solving business problems
  • Manage the relationship and expectations between end-user customers, business unit personnel and IT project staff to ensure each project meets the needs of the Client and the strategic goals of the Company
  • Coordinate end-user needs and requests; allocate resources, track timelines and review deliverables to ensure all project quality standards are met
  • Interface with various BU departments and/or divisions (non-UK) to determine and coordinate IT solutions for solving business problems
  • Deliver status and progress reports to project stakeholders (occasionally via formal presentation) and facilitate communication between all parties while identifying, escalating, and ensuring resolution of issues that would hinder project success
  • Write business correspondence, reports and/or internal user, product/training manuals as and when required
  • Document client contact in accordance with company policy and procedures

Skills, experience and behaviours:

Essential

  • Bachelor’s degree level preferably in a numerate discipline e.g. mathematics or industry recognised qualification e.g. Prince 2 certified
  • Ability to interpret a variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills to effectively present information to a wide range of audiences; end users, technical staff, vendors, departmental and senior management
  • Communicate technical issues with non-technical audiences, along with having excellent listening and interpersonal relationship skills
  • Proven analytical experience in a commercial environment

Desirable

  • 3 years experience managing technology based projects in large, complex, distributed environments
  • 3 years experience with purchased software applications in a ticketing, live event or visitor attraction environment
  • Application of ticketing ‘principles’, commercial models and marketing
  • European language(s)
