Live Nation and Citi create new music experiences platform

Live Nation has partnered with finance group Citi to create live music platform Citi Sound Vault for the latter’s card-holders in the US.

Citi Sound Vault will allow Citi members to access “unprecedented music experiences” such as performances by major artists in intimate venues, to meet-and-greets and backstage access.

The platform is launched this week with Citi and Live Nation selecting stars Sting, Beck, The Chainsmokers, and Metallica to perform for card members at the iconic Hollywood Palladium.

Tickets go on sale to Citi members today (Tuesday) from 10am (PST) for Beck, The Chainsmokers, and Metallica. In addition, members have the opportunity to purchase a limited number of preferred balcony tickets to the Sting show on February 8.

“Citi Sound Vault brings our cardmembers access they will never forget,” said Jennifer Breithaupt, Citi’s managing director (media, advertising and global entertainment).

Darin Wolf, Live Nation’s executive vice-president of media and sponsorship, said: “Citi Sound Vault epitomises the work we strive to create for our partners by providing them with custom music experiences.

“The driving force behind developing the concept was to put Citi card members at the epicentre of the most electrifying week in music and continue to build on that unparalleled fan access throughout the year and beyond.”
