Spectra names Damron as president in managerial reshuffle

Spectra has announced Kim Damron as its new president of ticketing and fan engagement in a shake-up of the company’s management team.

Damron, who previously served as chief operating officer, will now oversee the strategic direction for all aspects of the of the division of Comcast Spectator. With responsibilities including operations, product and technology solutions and client satisfaction, she will report directly to ticketing and fan engagement chief executive Dave Butler.

Prior to Damron’s 12-year tenure at Spectra, she served in leadership positions at Tickets.com, Buy.com and Paramount Studios.

California-based Spectra provides ticketing services to a host of professional and college sports teams, as well as performing arts groups and arenas.

The company has also promoted Steve Demots to chief revenue officer, Craig Ricks to senior vice-president of marketing and Christian Lewis to vice-president of business development.

Demots will manage all aspects of the client-facing business, including the team’s leading business development, client partner, marketing, Ballena, and Fan One. In his previous role as SVP of business development, Demots last year helped the division gain the most new clients in its 36-year history.

Just last month, Spectra appointed Keith White, formerly of Ticketmaster, as its new chief technology officer of ticketing and fan engagement.
