Ticket Arena reveals expansion plans

Ticket Arena is creating 11 new jobs as part of a £3m expansion plan.

The Leeds-based event technology company, which own online platform Event Genius, are readying for the launch of a new consumer website and implementing a strategy designed to improve their branding, services and technology.

The majority of the jobs are based at its headquarters in the UK, with business development roles on offer in the Netherlands and Spain.

The company, which supplies event technology solutions to over 5,000 events every year across the UK, Europe and Asia, recorded over £50m (€58m/$62m) worth of sales through its Event Genius online platform in 2016. It has also just launched the new Ticket Arena app on iOS.

Managing director Reshad Hossenally said: “With the £3m investment into the business and the new site well underway, it’s a seriously exciting time to be at the company and these new jobs are an indicator of our ambitions.”

“Our new business development roles signal our intent to increase our presence in the European events market, while the additions we plan to make to our already talented team of in-house developers and designers will enable us to improve our Event Genius platform and deliver the innovations that we have in pipeline.”

The company’s partners include Parklife Festival, Wales Rally GB, The Warehouse Project, Hideout Festival and The Great European Carnival, Hong Kong.

It recently revealed that its Payment Plan service generated £1m of sales in its debut year.
