TicketsWest appoint Kurtz as new president

Dusty Kurtz has been appointed as the new president of TicketsWest.

Kurtz succeeds the ticketing distributor’s founder, Jack Lucas, who has stepped down after 30 years in charge.

According to Venues Today, Lucas will continue to look after West Coast Entertainment, a concert and Broadway promoter.

“As the new president, I’m very comfortable with our core values and the thing that’s most important to me is that we never compromise that,” Kurtz said. “I really wanted to work with a group that prioritised relationships and that’s what Jack has established here. The quality of our clients and the quality of our staff comes first.

“With our industry changing as rapidly as it has in the last few years there’s an opportunity to look at what we put in front of our clients and to gain more efficiencies. We’re going to spend a lot of time talking about that.”

Kurtz joined TicketsWest in 2006 and became the TicketsWest vice-president in 2011.

Kurtz added: “Jack has put the company in a great position. We have great partners like Spectra Ticketing & Fan Engagement.”
