Bieber tour closes in on $200m ticket sales

Pop star Justin Bieber’s Purpose World Tour has generated close to $200m (£161m/€189m) in revenue since ticket sales were launched in March 2016, according to Billboard.com.

Revenue of $40m was generated from the first 10 shows of 2017, with more than 2.2 million tickets having been sold for 122 performances worldwide over the past year.

The tour started again on February 15 after running from March 9 to November 29 last year.

The 2017 schedule began with stadium performances in Latin America and Oceania and so far this year 466,000 tickets have been sold for shows featuring the Canadian singer.
