Vivid Seats provide fan experience packages for struggling Browns

NFL American football franchise the Cleveland Browns has partnered with Vivid Seats to sell fan experience packages.

The options available include features such as sideline passes, behind-the-scenes access and concession vouchers. The packages start at around $400 (€367/£312) and include a choice of game tickets.

Vivid Seats officially launched its partnership with the Browns in October 2016, which means the forthcoming 2017 NFL season will be the first full campaign working together.

The firm’s ‘ultimate game-day experience package’ for Browns supporters include $50 of Browns Buck, which can be used for food and beverage selections at the FirstEnergy Stadium, the team’s home ground. It also allows fans to watch players warm up from the sidelines, while fans travelling from afar can benefit from deals that include four-star hotel accommodation, with the possibility of adding such amenities as ground transportation and Browns merchandise.

With prices starting at $424.15 per person for an upper-level seat for the season opener against the Pittsburgh Steelers, the cost increases to $462.40 for mezzanine seats, all the way up to $530.40 for a spot on the sideline. There are several intermediary options depending on seat location.

Vivid Seats also has deals with NFL franchises the Chicago Bears and the Los Angeles Chargers and Rams.

The Browns have had a woeful record on the field for the past two decades, with poor performances leading to low attendance figures.

Late last year it was reported that tickets were changing hands for as little as $5 for Browns games over Christmas, following another dismal season. According to data collated by Vivid Seats, the median price of Browns tickets until the end of the season was just $25, with fans deserting a team that had lost all 12 of its games up until that point. The team’s final 2016 record was one win and 15 defeats.
