Ticketmaster denies technical issues after Harry Styles furore

Ticketmaster has denied that technical glitches caused fans to miss out on presale tickets for Harry Styles’ world tour.

Many fans who received a presale code to buy their tickets for the pop star’s first solo tour complained that it failed to work when entered into the ticket website.

Presale tickets sold out in minutes, leaving many fans angry and feeling “conned.”

According to Ok! Online, a spokesperson for Ticketmaster said: “There was, as would be expected, phenomenal demand and the presale tickets did sell very quickly but there were no technical issues.”

Those who missed out on the presale took to Twitter to air their complaints.

One fan tweeted: “Really, really disappointed. I entered my presale code as soon as it started, like in 3 seconds, and it said ‘no matches currently’.”

“@TicketmasterUK – feeling conned. Preordered cd for code to Harry Styles presale. Four times wrong code, 5th attempt worked, no tickets left,” another fan wrote.

Another said: “@Harry_Styles did everyone realise what a farce the presale was today? Link doesn’t work, no reply from Ticketmaster, con to buy album.”

Fans have complained about Styles playing at smaller venues than during his One Direction days, with huge demand for a relatively low number of tickets.

The tour kicks off in October in the UK and Europe, with two dates in London at the Eventim Apollo in Hammersmith, which has a capacity of around 5,000.
