Glastonbury secret sale claims hit bum note

Claims that a secret sale of Glastonbury tickets have been taking place were more out of tune than a festival flop according to event officials.

Tickets to the UK’s biggest music event were snapped up in a matter of minutes when they went on sale through official vendor See Tickets last year.

But some fans have posted claims online that they have acquired tickets in a series of secret sales over the last week. Some even uploaded screengrabs of a page showing they have been able to buy tickets to the event at Worthy Farm next month.

However, a source at the festival told Somerset Live that any such claims were untrue. The spokesperson said: “As the official website makes clear, no further tickets are available for public sale.”

Those that have been lucky enough to get tickets will be entertained by the likes of Radiohead, Foo Fighters and Ed Sheeran.
