Toptix’s SRO inspires customer data boost to arts centre

Toptix has added Arkansas Arts Center to its North American arts portfolio in the company’s first major announcement since being bought out for $56m by SeatGeek.

The ticketing company’s SRO (Standing Room Only), a web-delivered software and API-based system for ticketing, CRM and marketing, is now assisting the cultural attraction in consolidating cross-departmental functions onto one system.

These functions at the Arkansas Arts Center (pictured), which is considered one of the major attractions in the region, include the box office, online ticketing, membership management, marketing and fundraising.

The centre said initial implementation of SRO in the box office has already helped to generate data for more than 8,000 patron records from its most recent non-paid exhibition, representing 40 different states from visits to a single exhibit.

“We selected SRO to help us streamline the onsite and online process for patrons, allowing them to more easily identify and engage with the numerous and ever-changing activities and programs offered here at the Arts Center,” said Laine Harber, deputy director of operations and chief financial officer.

SeatGeek said in April that it can now “deliver the most powerful ticketing platform in the industry” after agreeing a deal to buy software company TopTix for $56m (€52m/£44m).

Arkansas Arts Center said the information provides staff with visibility into customer activity to further assess interest, manage resources and facilitate strategic planning discussions with tourism and funding partners.

The centre features a permanent collection of various works of art along with occasional special exhibitions. Other parts of the centre include a research library and rooms for several art education classes for a variety of age groups.

Angel Galloway, the centre’s director of marketing and communications, said: “We challenged our implementation team with an accelerated timeline. I’m pleased with how SRO is performing so far and couldn’t be more impressed with the support we’ve received from everyone at TopTix.”
