Tickets for last night’s (Monday) crucial NBA basketball final between the Cleveland Cavaliers and the Golden State Warriors fetched up to $90,000 (£70,700/€80,300) on resale sites.
Last night’s game in Oakland was the fifth of a best-of-seven NBA final, and the Warriors’ win meant they secured the championship by 4-1.
With many fans desperate to see the potential decider, demand for tickets was sky high. According to ESPN, the Warriors’ Ticketmaster resale site was selling two tickets for the game for $90,000, with another person paying $82,000 for a different pair of tickets.
In addition, more than a dozen tickets were listed on StubHub for $10,000 and above, while VIP Courtside tickets were ranging from $15,000 to more than $40,000 each.
The cheapest seats available were through the Warriors’ official Ticketmaster resale hub, starting at $649 plus fees.
