StubHub signs up with CBS Sports

StubHub has become the exclusive ticketing partner of CBS Sports Digital properties CBSSports.com, 247Sports and MaxPreps.

Direct ticket links to tickets on StubHub will be integrated into CBS Sports Digital’s multi-platform offerings for 247Sports, MaxPreps, CBSSports.com and the CBS Sports apps for mobile. CBS Sports Digital offers fans live and on-demand video, in-depth analysis, breaking news, scores and statistics.

The two companies said the cross-platform integration, which is already live, will provide millions of fans who are already consuming sports scores, news and analysis with “a direct connection to easily find and buy tickets for upcoming events”.

The deal comes three months after StubHub signed a similar deal with major sports organisation Bleacher Report.

“As the home of some of the biggest events in sports, CBS Sports Digital expands StubHub’s access to meet consumers where they are, anytime, anywhere, to provide access to the live events that they love,” said David Pierotti, head global media and distribution at StubHub.

“We’re thrilled to partner with and integrate with CBS Sports Digital and look forward to a creative collaboration.”

The deal again links ticket companies with content providers, with Vivid Seats having recently paired with North American giants Sports Illustrated and ESPN in the last few months.

“We are pleased to announce StubHub as the exclusive ticketing partner of CBS Sports Digital,” said senior vice-president and general manager of CBS Sports Digital Jeff Gerttula. “Our partnership with StubHub offers CBS Sports Digital fans a simple and convenient way to get tickets to watch their favourite sports teams.”
