Twickets to launch in US in autumn

Twickets says partnerships will soon be announced after it unveiled plans to launch in the US later this year.

The US will become Twickets’ third market, with the face-value resale platform already operational in the UK and Australia.

Twickets’ US home page is already in place at www.twicketsusa.com, with fans invited to sign up in order to receive more details ahead of the scheduled autumn launch.

“When it comes to the secondary ticketing market, the US and the UK share similar challenges, so we’re thrilled with this opportunity to now bring Twickets to the US, where I think most people have forgotten what it’s like to purchase a face-value ticket” said Twickets founder Richard Davies.

“Helping fans pay the fair price to see their favourite shows is what drives me and the team every day, and our launch in the US is a major step in ensuring that fans everywhere have access to face-value tickets to live music events by the artists they love.”

Twickets first launched in the UK as a full ticket resale platform in February 2015, and has partnered with major acts such as Adele and Ed Sheeran, as well as leading festivals, ticket agents and venues.

In May 2017, Twickets expanded to Australia in partnership with Sheeran, who used his website and social media to direct fans to a specifically created landing page where fans could sign up for email alerts from Twickets once tickets became available.

Twickets also partnered with Stormzy, Rag’n’Bone Man, Sigur Ros, DJ Shadow and Laura Marling, and teamed up with Frontier Touring, one of Australia and New Zealand’s largest concert promoters.
