West Ham are set to pack the stands during the second season at their new London Stadium home after announcing that 87 per cent of seats are already taken up by season ticket sales.
With six weeks to go until the start of the 2017-18 Premier League season, the club has sold 52,000 season tickets.
A club-record number of season ticket renewals were confirmed at the end of May and now the Hammers have sold their full allocation of London Stadium season tickets.
The fans’ commitment was praised by West Ham manager Slaven Bilic, who came under pressure from supporters as the club spent most of their first season at the 60,000-capacity London Stadium in the lower reaches of the Premier League table.
Bilic said: “Every player wants to play in front of huge crowds, and it is fantastic for this club that we can offer that opportunity to our squad week-in-week-out.
“I want to thank all 52,000 of those supporters who have faith in the team, my staff and I to keep them entertained with the kind of football and results that their incredible support deserves.
“At every match the players and I feel the fans’ support from the stands, and we hope to be able to create some more fantastic memories this season for all West Ham supporters, in front of a packed London Stadium.”
West Ham offer the cheapest standard season tickets in the Premier League, with a pass for all 19 home games available from just £289 ($375/€330).
The club switched from the 35,000-capacity Boleyn Ground (Upton Park) at the end of the 2015-16 season.
