Paciolan, StubHub sign up eight new colleges

Paciolan and long-time partner StubHub have expanded their reach in the US college sports market with eight new schools added to their portfolio.

College sports specialist Paciolan, formerly Spectra’s Ticketing & Fan Engagement division, will provide its primary ticketing systems to the eight colleges, while StubHub’s resale marketplace will be utilised.

Ahead of the 2017-18 NCAA Football season, Paciolan and StubHub have also agreed renewals with 10 colleges. StubHub is now associated with more than 50 colleges, while Paciolan has more than 120 partners in the sector.

The eight new partners are University of Washington, University of Pennsylvania, Tulane University, Northwestern University, University of Cincinnati, University of Houston, University of Memphis and University of Tulsa.

The University of Washington’s Husky Stadium has a capacity of 70,000, University of Memphis’ Liberty Bowl holds 62,500, while University of Pennsylvania’s Franklin Field has a capacity of 53,000.

StubHub said that with a fully-integrated ticketing platform, season- and single-game ticket holders have the opportunity to resell tickets, backed by StubHub’s 24/7 customer service and Fan Protect Guarantee. Sellers can also use its ‘pricing assistant’ price recommendation tool to accurately price and sell their tickets.

StubHub said: “For buyers, fans will have options to receive tickets instantly upon purchase, via mobile delivery or print-at-home, with tools available to assist in getting the very best value for the event for which they are searching.”

Paciolan’s deal with University of Washington was announced in June, with the school saying it hopes the company’s digital marketing services can boost ticket sales for its Pac-12 Championship fixtures.

Roy Shick, senior associate athletics director for external affairs at University of Washington, said: “Spectra Ticketing & Fan Engagement [now Paciolan] understands college athletics and what we want to accomplish.

“We prioritise creating the best possible experience for Huskies fans and are looking forward to innovating with the addition of several new services.”
