ONE Championship, the Asia-focused mixed martial arts (MMA) league, has appointed Jack Lim to lead its ticketing drive as its first chief commercial officer.
Lim, who previously held the same role at Mediacorp, will be responsible for uniting and leading all of ONE Championship’s existing revenue streams, overseeing ticketing, sponsorships, media rights, merchandising, and brand licensing, as well as developing additional paths of revenue for the company.
ONE Championship has held over 40 events to date with shows being held in China, Singapore, Malaysia, the Philippines, Indonesia and Thailand.
“I am honoured to join such a world-class senior leadership team at ONE Championship,” Lim said.
“The breadth and depth of insights and experiences I’ve gained from working in world class multinationals will go a long way in driving ONE Championship’s global growth in the years to come.
“The team at ONE is incredibly passionate, with the technical expertise necessary for aggressive execution, and the heart to overcome any obstacle.”
Prior to assuming the new role, Lim served as chief commercial officer of Mediacorp for three years. He was also the VP of media sales for Sony Pictures Asia for six years, communications director, ASEAN at IBM for three years, as well as director, international sales at CNBC Asia Pacific for six years.
Lim will report to Chatri Sityodtong, chairman and chief executive of ONE Championship.
Sityodtong said: “To unlock the full monetisation of our assets, ONE Championship needs a strong and seasoned leader to think through all of our assets and how best to optimise them across all revenue streams.
“With Jack joining our senior leadership team, I am excited at the possibilities for ONE Championship.”
